Beautiful App State

I know not everyone has a great experience at college, but I really had a great time. I really loved my time at App. State. I still think of my friends from there on a daily basis and I can remember conversations I had 20 years ago better than conversations I had last week. It wasn't all perfect, but God was very good to me in those 4 years.

This past weekend we drove to Boone for the first time with the kids. It is always good to see the campus and the town. Construction changes a lot of the landscape, but thankfully Sanford mall is still the same.

Anthony with the kids on the mall.

On the wall in front of the cafeteria. They've made a lot of construction changes. I wonder if the chicken fingers still taste the same.

I spent lots of time sitting on the wall outside the College of Business (Raley Hall). The view hasn't changed - still a parking lot looking toward the stadium residence halls.

In my mind's eye I can see myself as a 20 year old wandering around campus. Sometimes I still think I'm that age. (I'm not - in fact I'm 39 next week!)

I have fond memories of App State as well, especially my IV days. And I still have your laugh in my head after all these years.
