Anthony is 40! He said this was the best birthday because it seemed to last a long time. Trinity’s choir had cake and ice cream for him 5 days before his birthday, we had family time on Friday, then we were taken out to Carabba’s on Saturday, and then on Sunday morning the whole church sang to him as he received a walking cane. It was capped by our small group wearing black and giving fun gifts, which included a Justin Bieber board game and a shirt that said “It took 40 years to look this good”. His actual birthday was rather subdued, with only a lunch date to Chik-Fil-A.We’ve determined that the older you get, the less you know – arrogance from youth decreases and also you just plain can’t remember some things!
(Picture from the beach vacation because we’re still rather scattered and haven’t taken many pictures lately.)
